Private Practice: Season 3 Episode 20 'Second Choices' Review

Violet's back with a sudden character change and wants her son back, but not to the liking of Addison, talk about inappropriate timing. This is so messed up; Addison is with Pete and loves Lucas, but she also has this thing with Sam, an Violet is back, while Pete has unresolved feelings for her, but they share a son together and that's a bond you can't replace, yet it still brings a tension for Addison who has an attachment to Lucas.

We as fans, wanted nothing more than to have Violet wake up and realize what she had in front of her, now had she went to New York sooner, maybe things would have been different and Addison and Pete's relationship would have been non-existent and it would have been easier for Pete to forgive Violet. This story is definitely a sad yet beautiful one, which also makes Private Practice so good. The cast is what makes up this series and how well their acting goes with the sensational chemistry. Private Practice is indeed one of my favorite series to date. I understand where Pete is coming from, at one point he was pushing Lucas in front of Violet, and now he trying to keep a distance between them.

Pete is open to a relationship, but on his terms. I don't believe he should have been so harsh with Violet, at least he should have inquired about what happened in New York, because it apparently had a lot to do with her reformed character.
Now this episode brought Pete and Addison in a new light for me, it actually made be believe that they were actually a real couple. For the first time Addison has a healthy relationship, but the timing is wrong for everything. As I mentioned in a previous review, Addison should have been careful when it came to getting involved with a father type, with unresolved emotions for his ex. Pretty soon, Addison would drive herself crazy, because she loves Lucas, but might only carry a limited role in his life.

I believe the writers would elaborate further on what to expect from each couple carrying their dilemmas. This was yet another episode without Naomi, which leaves me wondering where she stands with Fife. He started of as a snob and it was truly surprising when he admitted that he would wait for her to return. Honestly I don't truly believe that Naomi loves White, but I believe she cares for him and she believes that Fife could take care of himself better than White. We also have not been seeing much of Maya lately, who would probably be far long. i wonder what her relationship with her husband would be like, or are they in that teenage zone still.

For now I would also like to focus on this Charlotte-Cooper-Sheldon triangle that is almost like the Violet-Pete-Sheldon, except Charlotte is still emotionally vested in Cooper. I want their relationship to take a real turn for the better, and for Cooper to wake up tell Charlotte the truth about his mojo, which apparently comes and goes. At least he still wears his heart on his shoulders when it comes to his patients. The boy who's mother covers his head with a permanent helmet to prevent him from eating everything in his path, is a pretty odd storyline, but handled well by the writers and actors involved. When it comes to family, we really don't want them to suffer through embarrassing circumstances, but that was poorly handled. How was that boy boy going to grow up? How was he going to meet girls and relationships, that situation should have been dealt with, especially since the mother went through the same situation before.

Hopefully Pete would come around from his anger issues with Violet. He's hurt and crushed and has probably developed speeches which paints Violet in a bad light in his head, but he needs to come around. There would be a moment in Lucas' life where his biological mother would play a huge part in his life, and Pete has to at least give Violet a chance. Violet has been through a great deal and Pete just needs to walk a mile in her shoes to understand what she has been through. As for Addison, where is her place in all of this? How about the favorite aunt? I truly just want everyone's happiness. Misery does not do anything but brings a gray cloud over an audience head, no one really likes a heavy shower of rain. People get soaked.

Castle: Season 2, Episode 21 'Den of Thieves' Review

So we finally have Castle drooling over Beckett after that last mishap. So does it really take another guy to bring out the tiger in Castle. I have to admit though, Castle took the competition really well, and was even modest when asked about his relationship with Beckett. I don't understand how everyone else is so on point with Castle and Beckett's relationship, except Castle and Beckett.

This Demming character is very daring, because I am sure the writers placed him there to give Castle and Beckett's relationship some competition. Does it really take another person for them to realize their feelings for each other? I found it intriguing the way Demming's character was introduced. How often does Beckett attend this gym, that the writers decided to screen her in. At first I thought she was working out at her replace, due to the lack of other character presence, but then this Demming character enters and it creates this secluded role in Beckett's life; the attractive guy that just happens to be in the same place at the same time.

This was actually the first episode Esposito's character was given some back story. I wonder what makes up Ryan's character, except for this girlfriend of his that keeps coming in and out of the show? Esposito's history is story worthy, and maybe Castle should have dedicated a chapter to Esposito's story, truly heart rendering. Could you imagine spending years in hiding, and having your reputation tarnished, just to have enough evidence to put a criminal away. That would have been hard for any cop to pull of, especially since that time spent away meant removing yourself from your family. This episode was truly inspiring and Jon Huertas (Esposito) did a remarkable job at playing his torn character.

I actually suspected Beckett's new love interest at some point, he just came in out of no where, but I guess that was the idea. I believed Beckett enjoyed rolling around with him in their fight sequence, even if it was just to buy some time while he was under suspicion. I probably felt as eager as Castle for him to be the culprit, then to be sent off and out of Beckett's life, butt that would have been too easy, even for Castle. Castle needs to learn how to express himself. He's a writer, but he discovers the most difficulty in acting out real life and letting Beckett know his feeling for her. I believe Castle does fear he would ruin a good thing, because their relationship is so emotional. I would love to see where this goes, especially since it looks as though everyone got their happy ending, well almost.

Smallville: Season 9, Episode 18 'Charade' Review

For one moment I actually believed that Clark was going to reveal his identity to Lois and lose the charade he keeps up with her. It's almost shocking how much people know Clark's secret, except Lois; Tess, Zod, Chloe, Oliver, the hero clan, Metallo, the Kryptonians, and the list goes on. Why bother at all keep the secret that only remains that way because of Lois? I believe that once Lois knows that Clark is 'the blur', her perception of Clark would change, seeing as she already praises 'the blur' for giving her purpose.

It was beautiful the way Lois held on to revealing something that she couldn't comprehend herself. Does this mean that subconsciously Lois recognizes The Blur as Clark, but hasn't officially put the pieces together? We are introduced to a new character (Gil Bellows), who has the potential to read minds and place them unto a virtual computer of some sort, very high tech equipment stuff going on there. Smallville seems to have upgraded its technology to the fullest, it was even recognizable with Chloe's Watchtower, Tess' access to extraordinary power sources and ranges of technology from the exclusive team Checkmate.

Checkmate and Tess seem to have this torn relationship. I remember Lois and Waller had some kind of relationship via text or code messages, which seems to be non existent. I wonder how far this Checkmate would spin and how many people would they recruit to save the planet. I understand their obsession with saving the world, but it comes off as villain sometimes, while the capture people using the most corrupted approach necessary, especially as they deem the Kandorians, at least according to Waller 'Aliens', as some sort of threat. Even if they managed to succeed with their plan, what's tot make them think that their alien powers wouldn't over throw them?

Sometimes the first action to what is deemed a threat is war, but why not discover how the Kandorians live before they decide to stab them in the back. So far the only threat they should consider is Zod. His character is a bit sketchy, as I wonder where he stands with Tess. It's obviously not a love story, so what does Zod gain from this relationship with Tess?

Chloe seems to be taking the motherhood role, but there is only so much she can do in her human form. She sits behind a lot of technology and does maintenance work, but she couldn't truly dodge bullets if it came to it. Even though the future we saw in 'Pandora'' may have changed, Chloe is still vulnerable to threats. It would be cool for Chloe to take up some armor of her own and pull off additional stunts. There was the time when Clark was infected with Red Kryptonite, and lost it around her. Chloe has been putting herself in places and have made decisions that could expose her to a lot of enemies, especially when it looked as though Clark could have easily killed her.

On that note, it's pretty brave of Lois to tell The Blur that he should preserve his identity, even though it killed her to say it. If Lois were to know Clark's secret, would she join Chloe behind the curtains? The writers found a way to make that moment slightly cliched, I kept thinking 'couldn't she recognize him in the shiny-thing, I mean, how often have the writers used poor lighting to conceal Th Blur's identity?

Oh, but for the additional touch, Lois was very cute in that bunny outfit, terrible that she used it for a dangerous cover up story, as opposed to some spontaneous moment with Clark, things really need to be spiced up in their love life.

Romantically Challenged: Season 1 Episode 1 'Pilot' Review

This is something new, and as a new series starring Alyssa Milano, who starred on shows like 'Charmed' and 'Who's the Boss', and finally found her way back to comedy. I enjoyed this series, I actually expected that the opposite. I expected a cheesy comedy which reused lines from older versions, but I wrong. Milano pulls of not quite the Sam in 'Who's the Boss', but is borders close.

The plot-line is even different form most; a new divorcee, who after being in one relationship for a long time now has to face the challenges of being single, types. Although there were some cheesy lines when it came to her sister, Lisa and the sex crazed friend, Shawn, bunking with Rebecca's other male friend, Justin.

I only hope it's not going to be the cat and mouse game until Rebecca finds herself with Justin or even has a one night stand with Shawn. Writers have made mistakes in the past by having each character fool around or end up involved with each other. Shawn reminds me of an obnoxious version of Joey from 'Friends'. He seems to have an attraction to Lisa, but I hope it goes no where.

A good start to a new series otherwise, I honestly began watching this series because of Milano and I hope it surpasses my expectations as a series.

24: Season 8, Episode 18 'Day 8: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM' Review

Why did Jack have to be so predictable? Why is the writing so predictable? I knew from the moment Jack gave in to President Taylor demands of confinement, he wasn't going to go without a fight. The only reason he probably played it calm, was because his plan would have been a lot easier without having it done in handcuffs. Jack was still foolish to go against the President's demands, no matter how foolish he saw it. Does he really want a manhunt on his tab, as though he could easily elude an entire army on his back, but why expend so many for something so minor. The act of doing something bad for a good, only ends up being the first.

Here we have President Taylor willing to betray Hassan's wife for the sake of a treaty. I believe President Logan is up to something. He may not be able to reclaim his tarnished President's legacy, but he is surely striving for something. I want to find out who his contacts are and so should President Taylor. She is obviously trusting a man who had it out for himself, it is only likely that he would do the same, and what's up with his assistant? Ethan Kanin seems to be the most level headed ally and I don't believe he would be pleased with her decision to do a cover up. That reflects poorly on her leadership skills, especially since she protest to not giving in to threats and to doing the right thing. There is an underline story we are missing here.

I understand why Jack would seek vengeance, but this Dana Walsh thing is getting old. They still haven't addressed where she stands with Cole, or even how they met and planned tot get married. Did they go through the 'meeting the parents' stage? What about that strange call she made to a woman with a child in the earlies to inquire about Kevin, would she be making another appearance? What about the body she shoved in Hastings' office? Still there are many loop holes circling the hours of 24 and I am beginning to question whether all these events transpire within a day. I believe Jack brutally dealt with Dana in a ruthless way, I felt sorry for her, slightly. Cole should have shown a bit more compassion, but I believe after he helped her dump bodies earlier and is now questioning their relationship, he is probably spiteful.

I am still hopeful for better quality, but upon each hour another dragged on story emerges, one would soon get tired and look at their watch wondering how long again fifteen minutes into the series. Not much excitement this round.

The Mentalist: Season 2 Episode 19 ' Blood Money' Review

Jane would go full out for Lisbon, this episode embraced how much he loved her, probably even more than he realizes. Hightower seems to be testing their relationship and since we haven't really received Hightower's story, I still would not trust her. She manages to pull a few of Lisbon's string, but I feel her interest lies in Jane. She either has a crush or ulterior motives. I was actually very excited to have Jane and Lisbon alone together, Jane admitted how much he cared for Lisbon, thumbs up!

As for Van Pelt and Rigsby, their relationship is apparently okay for now. I did share some tears with Van Pelt, when she decided to end the relationship. Looks like Lisbon's no responses in the elevator ride, proved to be of some help. I still believe they would secretly carry on a love affair, if not in the physical, but the emotional part. I don't understand the no dating rule, like I have probably mentioned before, it's almost impossible to make yourself not love someone, especially when they are right in front of you.

Van Pelt is considerable strong, but there are a few details I noticed about her character. She often wears her hair out, creating a particular 'girly' image, she mostly always wears colors in her work uniform. If she were to be compared to Lisbon, she would be considered the complete opposite. Lisbon presents herself as on of the guys, she wears her hair up mostly and is found in dark colors. I recently paid attention to this element, so I believe it deals with the different character each portrays.

The court case was an interesting theme for the show. I didn't understand why Jane felt the need to be a smart a** in front of a judge. Was Jane allowed to treat the judge as tough he were a suspect as a witness and the accused himself. Those court scenes were truly the most hilarious. Lisbon continuously stretches her neck out for Jane and sometimes it's almost as though he loves that. It feels more like Jane purposefully messing up to have Lisbon clean it up and have it out over a beer of some sort, my theory at least. So the hit-man approach was taken full advantage of, but why use Rigsby' picture. I imagine the writers wanted to paint the image of Van Pelt going crazy over Rigsby and finally losing it enough to hire a gun over his head. I knew it was a hoax from the beginning, but very clever.

Castle: Season 2; Episode 20 'The Late Shaft' Review

Let's give a round of applause to Castle and New York Times best seller 'Heat Wave'. Who knew Castle was such a celebrity, that he would be on a Late Night Talk Show, hosted by none other than Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron as Bobby Mann. Although Bergerson's appearance was short lived, he presented an exceptional choice for a Late Talk Show Host and should also consider picking up his own show. Need not to mention that his book is scheduled to be screened in cinemas soon.I was only hoping that Elle Monroe was not going to be the one that played Beckett's role. It was almost deplorable the way Castle drooled over her and soon got into bed. Castle actually surprised, he has been tin the business long enough to know when he is being played.

Beckett was even kind enough to point out the signs Castle clearly wasn't picking up. I also don't care how much Beckett would deny it, she was so jealous of Castle's new relationship. Although she wore the calm well, her remark when Castle couldn't keep his arms from the famous Ms. Monroe, was evident.

Beckett: "Wow, the camera really does add ten pounds, to his ego."

I found it very interesting that Beckett would take even ten minutes out of her time to watch Castle on television. It seems as though she is always busy, yet Castle's late night rendezvous seemed important to her. This was probably why it was so difficult for Beckett to actually come forward with her real emotions. What was Castle thinking anyway? His actions even surprised me. I thought he was so hooked up on Beckett, that he couldn't go all the way long enough before Beckett came to his mind. I must acknowledge that Castle and Becket have no intimate relationship of that sort, so Castle would act on his inner desires, butt at the end of his thrill would it have all been worth it? Beckett did handle her part well.

Could you imagine someone whisper in your ear that someone is trying to kill them? Poor Castle, he probably felt helpless to do anything, and then to discover that Mann died the following day. It was convenient that Mann mentioned it so Castle could discovered the culprit (who starred in 'Back to You', one of my favorite comedies). This guy was the number one suspect from the beginning in my book; he was only on the sidelines on the show and he seemed to praise his 'best friend' a bit too much, without any real back story. A bit too transparent the diversions they threw our way until they revealed who was responsible.

Alexis and her mother had their small screen time this rounds again. It would be interesting if they built an episode entirely around Alexis and this school life of hers we have to fill in with our minds; get to meet some of her friends. She was also intuitive to realize that he father had an attraction to this Monroe character. Castle's mother was actually surprised that he hadn't proposed yet, and even though she was just joking, I am certain that represented the character Castle once portrayed before Beckett and it actually made me wonder about Alexis' mother. If Alexis only has Castle in her life as a biological parent, which comes off as a huge shocker that her mother is so reckless.

Glee: Season 1 Episode 15 'The Power of Madonna' Review

Who knew Sue Sylvester could not only sing, but also take on a full music video. If it wasn't for her sudden Madonna obsession, this entire theme would not have come about and Will would have to feed off of something else for a change. I applaud Sue for her constant hair jokes over Will. It is uncanny the way his hair is close to perfect everyday and sometimes wavy if that's the case. Sue hits the nail on the head, but it was truly a sad story regarding her hair. I was happy she was able to be open with others about her family life, giving some insight into the person Sue Sylvester was.

I am still having my issues with this Will and Emma relationship. I truly missed Terri here, to add the additional humor Will used to put up with. Emma obviously has feelings for Will and even if she made an adult decision the episode before, she still cannot change the way she feels. I believe that Will still has a lot to learn, especially since he gave in so easily to Emma's invitation, knowing full well she was moving based on the sudden sex craze that was going around. Emma is too polite to give into such desires, even now that Will is still married. Having his divorce papers process is no different, Will has a lot of growing up to do.

It's sad the way even Rachel was pulled into the sex crazed theme. I am really not liking her boyfriend lately. He is not only obnoxious, but completely full of himself and also needs a lesson in growing up "wanna do it", okay good way to turn a girl on right. I expected something better from Rachel, she seemed to give in to this guy so quickly and to have fallen for him the same way, that her judgment is clouded. I still can't believe Finn mentioned to Jesse, staying away from 'his woman or girl' as he put it across. Jesse has something p his sleeve and what a better way to keep a full eye o Glee, but to become a full fledged member.

Out of all the individuals that were going for the 'We need to have sex now otherwise' theme, Finn and Santana came off as a not so much shocker, but had the surprised element. I knew Emma would have second thoughts on going all the way, but I wasn't too certain about Rachel. I would like to know more about Santanna's story. She seems to be a particular individual, so what is her back story; parents, ex's, and was she always this character she represents. I believe that not everyone's story is told in full detail. We don't know much about Mercedes background, nor do we get a full glimpse on why Emma is the way she is.

I found it offensive on Emma's part to have Will come out and offer her help for her condition as though he didn't already love her for the way she is. It would have come off as sweet, had Will truly vested more time in loving the crazy persona that Emma portrays and then if up to her change to improve the physical elements of their relationship. I am still not into Emma and Will, but the couple they represent is not even trying to impress me. I still believe that Terri would be getting some more screen time. The musicality was exceptional. We explored random elements from Madonna, but that cheer leading routine went beyond words. The cheer leading life provides insight where 'Bring it on' and the sequels are concerns, but this is a fair element added, is this how they are doing it these days?

Sue manages to pull of the I am threatening the principal theme well. She wouldn't eat the entire cake yet and is treading lightly. Obviously blackmailing someone to play Madonna music all day surely goes beyond the blackmailing quality we imagined from Sue now that she has some interesting pictures. I am happy that Sue gave Mercedes and Kurt a chance, but this there more to that story?

The Office: Season 6 Episode 22 'Secretary's Day' Review

This was the first time Angela and Andy's engagement was mentioned in a while since Erin came into Andy's life. It wasn't a surprise why the writers chose Michael as the one to deliver the bad news; he's the only one who wouldn't over think things before actually saying it. In this case revealing Andy's almost wedding should have been a great ice breaker for his relationship with Erin, look at how well she took it. That only meant that they told each other everything enough to have her react so out of sort when one truth wasn't completely revealed. I have to admit, the cake to Andy's face was a huge jaw dropper, Erin got him good.

I was most surprised of her uprooting relationship with Michael. I knew the writers hinted to a bond between Michael and Erin before hand, but their relationship didn't blossom until now. For a while Michael used to perceive Erin as the crazy person who works for him, and I believe he sees her the same way, but he could actually tolerate holding a day long conversation with her?

If Angela meant nothing more to Andy, why refrain from mentioning the fact that he was engaged? That in itself was a big load to drop in a new relationship and should be treated lightly. Still the mere reason Erin acted so out of hand could probably trace back to her previous relationships in life. How many boyfriends has Erin had? Sure she pulls off the cute well, but how long did her previous relationships last? Strangely I find myself rooting for Michael and Erin now.

Aside from the Erin-Andy-Angela drama, the new guy (whose name I can't recall right now) really just wants to fit in. After six seasons, this was the time everyone chose to make fun of Kevin. I believe Jim did the best impersonation, yet those Kevin moments were still long overdue. I felt sorry for Kevin and I expected Jim to be the one to reason up and tell everyone to give Kevin a break, not the new guy. There has hardly been any attention placed on Jim lately, but the few moments he comes of a bit irrational at times. I would appreciate a 'Father Jim' all now. Now that he and Pam are back at work, who is the babysitter?

Kevin made a good comeback at Oscar, at least Michael thought so. I believed Oscar's version could have been funnier, but not so much now since Oscar suggested it himself. The new guy surely gave himself the 'loser' tab when he began making fun of Kevin after he spent the entire day punishing anyone who did the same. I applaud Dwight for his apology, but Jim and Pam were just too smart. What would you expect from these new parents, who would rather go home to be just that? The new guy has also replaced Michael's most despised role, it was only a matter of time.

Smallville: Season 9, Episode 17 'Upgrade' Review

Usually moments where Clark and Lois are alone together, I would be close to the television screen just trying to listen to every word in detail. Yet before this bed scene in 'Upgrade', we had Lois falling down a steep hole and waking up in a bed next to Clark the following day. Some eyebrows definitely rose then. I kept thinking about Metallo and how freaky it was that he knew where Lois lived and he possibly dropped her off in her bed(?). The next thought that crossed my mind, when things mellowed down and I grew accustomed to Clark's arms around Lois and his lips on her cheek, was how exclusive are Lois and Clark? Is it enough for Clark to be in Lois' bed without it being a big deal, or without her thinking he was a complete stranger. It did shed that romance theme between them, and it reminded me how different they were not too long ago. I mean, how many wake up calls does Lois get from Clark, or vice versa?

Zod and Tess are certainly romantic elements, but more along the lines of 'love to hate you' kind. I wonder if Zod still view humans as peasants of sort, or merely still looks down on them? Especially now that he's sleeping with Tess. Does he have true feelings for her, or is he just keeping her at arms length attempting to squeeze her for information? He has certainly used 'The Blur's' method of communication to get through to Tess' secrets, but why Lois? Sure Lois is a reporter who has done the impossible at times, but what if Metallo was not there to catch her or even take her safely home? Zod obviously doesn't care about Lois safety. Did anyone else notice Lois approach while she is talking to the Blur, when has Lois ever hung up on the Blur before? Clark has obviously taken priority in her life and since when is it Blur-like to send Lois on dangerous missions. Maybe subconsciously Lois is catching on his false identity. The Blur isn't even harsh with Lois, which I discovered Zod was when he wanted to discover more detail into Tess' operation.

Clark should embrace his 'Blur' side around Lois now more than ever, even if it means to check up on the side she is keeping from him. That would definitely throw Zod off a notch.

The 'real' Blur: "Hi Lois, it's been a while since we last spoke".
Lois: "What do you mean it's been a while, don't try to play a smart one on me because we just spoke two hours ago and I still have no information" (Or something Lois-like).

That would give Clark the pointer he needs to know that someone else is playing the hero voice over. It's almost sad thinking about it, anyone with a voice decrypter could mimic the blur's identity. I still don't understand a few things with regard to Clois. How could Clark be so intimate with Lois and not let her know his secret? The thought to consider telling her should at least cross his mind. Wouldn't Lois somehow be able to detect the secret identity? I believe she detects a secret, but that's about it.

This was yet another red Kryptonite themed episode, where Clark, once exposed to it begins to act out his true desires. At least he was honest with Chloe when he related to her the reasoning behind the horrible things he did, while wanting to form a brotherly bond with Zod. Yet when Clark mentioned to Zod about meeting Jor-EL, I kept shaking my head against the notion. Zod is incredibly unpredictable with his actions. Even at some points he would be sincere, there would be moments he wouldn't hesitate to stab a person in the back. Look at what he is doing to Tess, with Lois. Tess wouldn't give him information, so he is using Lois to get it for him (why doesn't he ex-ray the place and find out himself, leave Lois out of his madness!). Zod is now using his blood to develop an army of Kandorians and I believe he would twist what Clark showed him to his advantage, for the sake of his greed.

Tess herself is afraid and barely surviving. She is simply using Zod to reclaim her strength in herself, because that is somehow lost. There was an uncomfortable feeling between her and Zod, and even when she showed Zod the picture of him and Clark, she spoke out against Clark for the first time. She tried to have Zod turn against him for the sake of her reputation. What plan does she and Zod have together? Does Zod really need Tess? It was nice to have Tess and Chloe work together, but even cooler to have Chloe's place be trashed by Clark (although pretty lame).

When Clark went berserk on Chloe, to an extent it showed how he would have reacted to her in 'Idol' had he been exposed to the red Krptonite then. Chloe has been known to doing lethal things for the sake of Clark's protection, yet every time it could be used against him, when it remains a secret. The focus can be shifted to Metallo who made his presence here. His story was the typical lab rat theme, but how did he break out of the ice? His heart acts as a sort of heat rock that exploded the ice and caught Clark off guard, not to mention Zod who suddenly disappeared. Then Metallo disappears (?), with a parting word of 'I did this for a friend'). Lois was a bit extra nicer to Metallo, which probably sent him the wrong message in the end. Even if Lois was not with Clark, would she want to be with Metallo, given his special glowing heart? There is only so far they could travel as a couple, maybe Metallo should have stuck with friendship.

So this was a decent themed episode which covered interesting plots, from the creepy Tess experiments, to Kal-EL, Zod and the Kryptonians. Clark better keep a close eye on Zod having his secret out in the open. Who knows how far he would go with his new Kandorian army? Oh I may be upset with Chloe for a while, what gives her the right to knock Lois out, there are certain lines you don't cross!

24: Season 8, Episode 17 'Day 8: 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM' Review

What's going on here, didn't they not realize how much Renee meant, why did they pull the plug on her? 24 is just taking things too far, first Tarin goes bad and dies, Dana goes bad and we want her uhmm and President Hassan is brutally murdered and now Renee falls in the same boat. I actually used to look forward to having Renee in a scene. She brought so much presence when she was first introduced in the earlier hours, presenting this bad 'ass' theme. Sadly, this is yet another partner that Jack loses in life, there is only so much pain one man could take guys. Couldn't they have found another way to get her out of the picture without it being so heartbreaking? Didn't Jack's tears make you want to change that scene and rewind the clock? Ah, who knows, but maybe they have something else planned, but nothing else could stop the huge load they want us to carry. Poor Jack. ---------------------------------------->

My only guess is that Jack would use his rage to find out who killed Renee. Did he love her? If he did, his determination would be persistent and callous. I still do not know Jack's history with her, so the writers could take this time to fill us in, or do we have to enjoy the suspense of it all? We should get to this later on in the day.

As for the President, what is with this new Russian theme that is touching on the 'getting really old' border line. After this new enemy of sort, would there be another villain to dislike? Although the guy who shot Renee had a strong villain approach, did he truly believe killing Renee and Jack would solve his problems? From the moment he began to babble about taking out Jack Bauer, we as the audience knew that wasn't going to happen. It was either going to be a close miss or Renee would have the fatal shot. Poor Renee.

I applaud Chloe for taking up the acting position in control, but how long would that hold? Chloe comes off as the person with all the answers and the direct approach that gets the job done, but faced with leadership authority she is now subjected to those rules. Chloe is still finding her niche in the leadership category. There was also no mention of Dana, I guess they didn't find it necessary, but does anyone suspect that Cole would turn as well. Where does he fit into all of this? Why make Cole the fiancee type, just so Dana could fit in? Did she ever love him? I believe Arlo was fooled, flirting around with her all day, who knew what could have happened had Arlo not gotten that call from Chloe an hour or so before. Chloe saved his life. Of course he would not think about it like that now. He would only utter a few words like 'I worked with her, I can't believe I didn't know it. She was acting strange today'.

Character changes are so unexpected, if we were to draw on the assumption that Renee recognized who shot her after so long. What about the Russian guy's experience on the matter 'I don't forget faces' (picture the Russian accent). He only tried to prevent the inevitable and cause a target on his back. He should have just taken his boss' advice and leave well enough alone, gone into hiding, but now he's running from the law (that sounded cheesy?).

Castle: Season 2 Episode 19 'Wrapped Up In Death' Review

They just love picking on Castle do they. I believe Beckett has a huge crush, but what's to be said about Ryan and Esposito, who apparently makes a living out of terrorizing, sometimes Beckett gets a taste of the teasing. Which just shows how much the chemistry between characters are almost impeccable.
Short Recap: A museum curator is crushed by a falling gargoyle. Castle stumbles upon a tomb of a mummy at the museum and is labeled cursed for opening the chamber.

Castle surprised me here, I had no idea they would attempt a mummy centered episode. Castle made well with the 'Indiana Jones' theme; the hat, the thirst for adventure, Castle just seems to pull out his surprise card at every stop. It's then not a surprise why Alexis would follow suit with her outlandish experiments. I am still trying to place a concept on her character and what she means to Castle. Castle may not be the perfect role model, but you can absolutely see how much he loves his daughter, which is probably why Beckett may even love him.

As for Beckett, what was up with her constant picking on Castle? The chair, the coffee machine, wasn't that pushing it a bit over the top? Castle spends a lot of his time with Beckett and I believe this 'Nikki Heat' theme would be a long standing series of his just so he could have an excuse to be near her. That could also be the case along with his lust for adventure, but Beckett has her arms around his heart. Which surprisingly was recognized by Alexis, the moment she realized that Beckett was the reason she couldn't spend more time with her father.

The guy revealed to be guilty, was, as a Men in Trees fan, the same cop that wooed Patrick's mother. If you guys were Men in Trees fans, you may recognize him. I don't know if that impacted on the spotlight being placed on him, the moment he was introduced. I also suspected the woman who shouted at Castle for opening the tomb, butt that just seemed too obvious. Although I wasn't too interested in the plot, the relationships were exceptional. I would forever point out Alexis and Castle's mother's roles because even though they are given limited screen time, their presence is lasting on screen and I look forward to their roles.

Enough of cliched themes though, I want more attention on Beckett's mother, which has been played down on a huge level. I know the writers would try to play Castle and Beckett's relationship out slowly, so the pace they are moving with is very clever and interesting. Esposito and Ryan are also some characters I look forward to seeing, the paper-cut bit with Castle in the beginning when they tried to convince him he was cursed, was funny on their part. Castle in the elevator was another funny bit.

Life Unexpected: Season 1, Episode 13 'Life Unexpected' Review

'Life Unexpected' was very cheesy (no pun intended). Beautiful Picture -----------> Instead we have the typical wedding jitters, still in love with another man Cate and a teary eyed Ryan willing to do the right thing. Not to mention Baze who typically falls for the 'if you love her let her go', then to have him figure things out at the last minute. Why didn't he just get out of his car and run! Grab a Taxi or run like his life depended on it. Instead the moments leading up to Cate's wedding was filled with uncertainty, an identity crisis, a love inflicted wound, a dangerous-almost love affair and a guilt ridden Lux for pushing Cate to marry Ryan, who couldn't possibly realize the damaged emotions she already has towards Baze. That in itself was an overwhelming ride at the circus. Somehow I didn't like this one.

I could sense that Cate and Ryan wasn't the happily ever after type. They just don't emit those feelings of love you would appreciate from a couple. I believe that Ryan should show some jealousy towards Baze and Cate's moments alone together. The plots don't sync up with each other. I don't buy the sudden epiphany Baze had with his father and his rush of emotions over Cate. I believe he cares for her deeply and for the sake of Lux, their relationship could be more, but I don't believe he loves her. As for Ryan, I believe he wants something to be there that isn't, and it is a shocker that the wedding actually went through because that means they have to work through their messy issues together as a real couple.

When Cate kissed Ryan to solidify the marriage, it felt like it was done out of spite to get back at Baze for letting her down again. That's not how a marriage should start off. She should not have gotten until those issues for Baze were resolved. There is not much that could be done now, Baze would have to remain with that embarrassing moment plunging into the chapel unannounced. Maybe he should have RSVP to avoid the embarrassment and melodrama of it all. i sensed that Lux felt obligated in that moment. I enjoyed the cold shoulder she gave Ryan, but I did not enjoy Ryan's sappy moment. Lux gave a mature speech to Cate, which leaves me reminding myself that this girl is only fifteen and already she has to council her mother into saying 'I do'. She could not have predicted Baze rushing into the Chapel like that, ad I believe she was doing what she thought was best for Cate.

I have no idea where this show could go next. All am expecting is a hint in Lux's life as a foster child and some past acquaintances of her lifetime. Lux had a whole other life before Cate and Ryan and that should be taken up on a deeper level. I don't really care for the Cate-Ryan-Baze stuff, all of that is just relationship drama that is screened everyday, just with different characters. It was nice to have Lux's parents be official in a life, that was a decent moving step.

Glee: Season 1 Episode 14 'Hello' Review

After thinking this one through I decided that Glee could make a great addition to my review collection. There are just so many reasons why I often reconsidered reviewing this one regularly. So I would be up front with you guys. I am not a Will and Emma fan, in fact I am not to keen on Will's character, but as a series the vocals and musical collaborations often overthrows the other emotionally driven.

This episode's theme is based on Hello and finding a sound that reflects that theme. Sue Sylvester was classic here and definitely a crowd pleaser. Why would she go through lengths to get back into a job that deals with terrorizing and making a mockery of people. I guess that is the only way she could survive. It took guts blackmailing the Principal and she now has him under her fingernails, so why go the extra mile when she could get anything she wants? I believe the drive is what gives her fuel to sabotage.

I expected to hear more from Mercedes this round. I knew the moment Hello was spoken, Lionel Richie's sound would have made the Glee track. That collaboration with Rachel's new love interest was beautifully done. Almost two of the most beautiful voices that needed more than an applause at the end. It leaves you wondering why is Rachel still singing in high school? I believe Rachel is still growing as an individual and even if she wants to make life altering decisions, she still wants to experience the joys of friendship, love and going to school.

I actually expected the slushies being thrown in their faces. People still wouldn't accept Glee for the club it is and the individuality it represents. Singing, especially for a guy, is seen as a weak activity and if not well recognized, could have a negative impact on individuals. Finn has had his ups and down with regards to Glee; losing his girlfriend to his friend, over a manipulated pregnancy believed to be his. Then to suddenly have Rachel come into his life and plan every avenue of their life from a calendar. That was definitely what a Rachel thing to do, and it was good of the writers to maintain Rachel's character.

The only thing I find surprising is the sudden relationship Rachel sprung on over a piano duet. How many time past since before Rachel found herself in love with another guy after Finn broke up with her? Could this other guy truly break her heart? I hope it would not be the traditional "Oh it started off as a plan of sabotage, but now it's real baby" in song. I wouldn't care either way none the less, so long as we hear more vocal actions. I also found it unfortunate of Rachel's tough love friends. Mercedes is usually the strong voiced person and easily persuasive in any crowd, but she can also come off harsh. Which she was when she threatened to kick Rachel out unless she got rid of her boyfriend. She obviously presents herself as the leader in the group. Even if the group may need Rachel, they clearly made it obvious that they could survive without her. I wonder how long would that be though.

This group deals with everything like a family. They have their mishaps, awkward and tough love moments, but in the end they form a strong group. Which is why I wonder why Rachel's boyfriend (Jesse St. James) feels threatened enough to create a deceptive relationship. Jesse's teacher Cue Shelby has an established musical industry, the only way she would go out of her way to spy on Glee, was if she saw them as competition, which evidently makes them a threat. I believe her feelings for Will are somewhat sincere, but what is he doing kissing another woman after clearly professing his love for Emma.

I am keeping a close insight into Will and Emma's relationship. I di not like the way Emma addressed Terri as though she owned Will apartment. She admitted to not wanting to swim in Terri's hurt and shame (words to that effect), but there she is ordering Terri to get out before Will arrives, did she suddenly replace Terri as Will's wife? Emma once came off as a person who would consider other people's feelings before her own, but the sweet, perfect image she is trying to portray, I just don't buy. I am happy Terri put her in her place, although that was probably 'guy' of Will to forget his song with Terri, he needs to sort things out from his life. Firstly, he needs to officialize his divorce, if he's going that direction and choose who he wants to be with. Emma's sexual life should not have an impact, however flat it is, if he loves Emma, he should stick to that.

Certainly the funniest scene would be the Finn, Santana and Brittany date. Not only was I shocked to know that they were talking about Finn as though he went to the bathroom, but they ordered him to leave and leave his credit card, that was definitely girl power right there. Finn was actually turned on by the notion for them to make out in front of him. Puck must have had a ball with Santana. Hey what about Puck and Ouinn, who clearly had no lines this round. Their silent scenes were enough to strike up a conversation.

It only now registered that Finn is now into basketball, he looked really odd in those scenes, not to mention the moments Rachel began rooting for him. It was sweet the way she praised him then for being her boyfriend even when he was falling flat on the ground. That shows you the type of person Rachel could be as a real girlfriend. That is probably why Finn took the time to realize and fought for her in the end. I believe that she and Jesse would have this secret love affair going on, which is why she couldn't completely be honest with Finn. Who knew Rachel would have so much love drama in her life?

That's it for now, the final song sequence was a bit awkward. Even if it showed the group as a group, there where moments where Rachel and Finn felt out of place, reflecting their feelings for each other outside of Glee.

24: Season 8, Episode 15 and Episode 16 'Day 8: 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM' Review

Looks like everyone's turning on each other and most are making enemies in a matter of a few hours. 24 has been a roller coaster ride this entire day, it's a wonder why Jack hasn't received a serious migraine from all the pain he endured earlier, to risk his life to save President Hassan. What about a migraine for even that blow President Hassan gave him for the sake of saving lives. It is either the President is too much of a good man to cause Jack so much pain, or completely ignorant for leaving his country without a leader, knowing his death could cause the null and void of the 'Peace Agreement'.

I admire President Taylor for her dictatorship. She can feel compassion and relate well in any situation, which makes her a wonderful President. There were moments where I believed the writers would focus on President Taylor's family and finally let us know what is going on with Olivia and where exactly is her husband. There is still a void that is unfulfilled at that avenue. The President's family has a lot of the person she is now. I know there is only so much that could be covered in a day, but if she even takes a few minutes of the hour to make a phone call, or if even a silent few minutes of clarity for viewers. I don't know why I am so interested about that part of the President's life, something that has to do with family at the exact point of President's Hassan's death. Could President Taylor do the same for President Hassan's country if it came to it?

There was high hope for President Hassan's life. In a simple instance, I actually believed he would have survived. It's a sad thing he died so relentlessly. He wouldn't give in and instead his life was used as a disciplinary matter. It makes you think at the last moment can anyone truly avoid the axe on 24. His death surely puts an end to Dana's Immunity Agreement. I found it shocking she didn't confess to having a body hidden in Hastings' office. Dana herself was a shocking reveal, I mean is everyone going to turn out bad on 24. Suddenly I find myself suspecting Cole or even Arlo, and is Chloe in on it too? Even though Dana tried to take Arlo's life and Chloe is probably too faithful to have a bad bone, it still leaves those ridiculous possibilities in your head.

There were too many faulty plot lines this round, which even leaves a ruffled overlook on 24. I almost feared for Renee's life. She is given such limited scenes already to have her leave the series on a sudden note. I would want to have Renee and Jack's relationship play out, or whatever that means to them. I still don't know how Jack is able to bring Renee on missions given her emotional condition, which seemed to have disappeared? Each episode has its interesting points, but the story lacks consistency, which can cause an audience to loose interest the same way. Does anyone else sense that connection between Ethan Kanin and President Taylor, maybe there is a reason for leaving the family out of the picture.

Life Unexpected: Season 1, Episode 12 'Father Unfigured' Review

Cate and Baze together on a road trip only spelled trouble. Their constant bickering and absurd tantrums towards each other would make anyone feel the need to buy a pair of earplugs. It is ironic that Lux was behind the entire road trip and encouraged Baze to tag along, for the sake of her boyfriend. What was with that out of the way storyline anyway? Tasha's ex shows up and suddenly everything is on the downfall; trashing the bar for the sake of what exactly? That scene still felt as a filler to push Cate and Baze together.

For some reason, I resent Ryan's choice to allow Cate back into his life all trustworthy like a packaged perfect deal. Suddenly Ryan carries no beef with Baze and completely trusts that Cate's feelings towards Baze would simply mean nothing. I believe Ryan needs to do some thinking when it comes to the big decisions in his life. I am not quite a Ryan fan, nor am I a Cate's, so that leaves no question why having them together creates an upset framework.

Anyway, we finally meet Cate's father, who refuses to walk his daughter down the isle. Why didn't Cate take Ryan to meet her father? There are still some ifs and maybes with respect to having Baze tag along for the journey. Cate was also a fool to believe that Baze lied to Abby about having feelings for her. Baze obviously chickened out. It surprises me how intuitive Lux was with regards to Baze's feelings, there are some things that don't change. Lux has shaped herself like the sane parent in the family. She is responsible for cleaning up messes, breaking up fights and preventing tantrums from getting out of control, and now she feels the responsibility over Cate and Baze's torn relationship.

Cate's father is truly a sad case, and her mother isn't truly the biggest support, so it is not surprising why Cate may be the way she is. Cate's life is entirely disorganized and her decisions can raise and eyebrow or two. In fact everyone's lifestyle is torn in some way or the other. Look at Baze's dad, even though they bonded, we still haven't seen him around since, they haven't shared any father son moments since. I am certain Baze still blames his father for his mistakes in life. We haven't been introduced to Ryan's family, but his life doesn't even begin to touch the line of perfection. Lux comes from a broken home, to enter into one similar but in a more organized, polished framework.

For the while I actually miss Tasha. I couldn't care much for Cate's dad, who couldn't seem to care for a daughter at that moment. Baze and Cate sleeping in the same bed should have been cause for concern, had Ryan paid them a surprise visit, Cate would have a lot more to worry about. I believe that Cate and Ryan would not truly be happy with each other, so long as Cate's unresolved feelings for Baze remains that way, especially since Lux is a big part of their lives. I don't appreciate Ryan clinging on to Lux, at least that's what it seems. It is awkward every time he a Lux share a scene and he comes off as the dad role model.

Seeing that the wedding is soon, which I hardly doubt would last long enough if they did tie the knot, I believe Baze would have a say before 'I do'.

The Mentalist: Season 2 Episode 18 ' Aingavite Baa' Review

Rigsby and Van Pelt have such strong chemistry onscreen, which makes it almost impossible to pull away. Count this as one best television couples created onscreen and a thumbs up to the creators, writers, producers... (and the list goes on), behind this series. It takes an incredible amount of skill, which I thought was lacking in some other shows; I believed it was difficult for writers to create a decent chemistry between people accompanied with believable story-lines and social conditions, but 'The Mentalist' wears everything in pride, especially with Jane on the team.

I don't understand the purpose behind the 'no dating co-workers' rule. Once the feelings are there, it becomes truly difficult to drive away from them. It practically broke Van Pelt's heart choosing the job over their love for each other. As it was heartbreaking for the fans having Van Pelt crying in an elevator without any kind of support from a clueless Lisbon. Jane acted his usual detached front and for a guy who seems to have all the answers, walking away from a crying woman seemed to be his true weakness. Tears and sadness are all dealings he removes himself from, especially since tears remind him of the loss of his family and the extensive grief he carried. He probably knew of the situation between Van Pelt and Rigsby and it should have been they to fear Hightower first, as opposed to Lisbon. Things would definitely be cold and distant between this romantic pair, without the romance.

I admire Hightower's villain approach to power, and yet one can fall prey too loving to dislike her character strength. She paints a tough light which I believe Jane has spent some time trying to figure out. I can't stop thinking that there is more to Hightower's story than what is being let on. Jane wants the upper hand and so does Hightower and so their is this silently outwitted struggle for power. Lisbon's function is questionable, since Hightower clearly stated how expendable she was. I believe that just as Hightower was able to discover the truth between Van Pelt and Rigsby, so too was she able to discover the connection between Jane and Lisbon. I wonder when she would use that knowledge to her advantage? It is clever the way this series can wrap the audience into deep thought and still carry a torch of strong interest among characters and plots. Wonderful indeed.

Even this 'Jane Doe' plot was interesting, even though it was probably screened before, this was 'The Mentalist' take on it. The thinking behind each theory has been worth spending an hour in front of a television screen and suffering through advertisement breaks. There is a world created for an audience that we just eat up and expect a week after week brilliant series to roll on.

Smallville: Season 9, Episode 16 'Checkmate' Review

Usually when Smallville themes are on Clark, Kandorian's and Heroes, with the exclusion of Lois, things wind down. I didn't expect to like this episode so much, especially without Lois' presence. Although I believe since Lois and Clark are official, it's hard to imagine any episode without some Lois reference, but that played a minor role with Amanda Waller, and the Hero reference placed at the forefront. I understand Waller's character from staying tuned into Justice League, so there were close similarities. Waller from Justice League was determined and obsessed with government policies and threats against mankind. She was often associated with Lex Luthor. I don't know how close to Justice League's story-lines would Smallville equate, but Waller's character is pretty close.

Now what did Tess get herself wrapped into? Did we actually have Tess crying and pleading for forgiveness, from Oliver? I don't buy it! Why would Tess feel the need to go underground and runaway front the rush of it all, when she clearly has Zod on her side? I would hope that Tess would have used her connection with him to her advantage, unless things aren't as good as they were presented last week. Tess has shown so much backbone in the past, to have her become the untypical villainess, admitting her sorrows and begging for forgiveness, comes off as a disappointment.

Oliver and Chloe's relationship seem to be growing on the other hand. They obviously have the "If something happened to you, I don't know how I could go on..." association. I believe Oliver is afraid to show his true feelings for Chloe for fear of losing her and instead he covers his "I care for you" with "Be careful and Don't get hurt". The early scene between Tess and Green Arrow, was shameful the way Tess confined him to captivity, but it was also incredible for Green Arrow to be just on the look out, at the right place and time. How did Tess know where to locate Green Arrow, let alone Waller? Why did Waller require Tess to do the job? What was the purpose behind the wig and the secretive approach? The only thing accomplished was the suspense behind Tess' sudden urge to run when she could have cleverly eluded all those villains herself, without question.

John Jones' presence was just as peculiar. There is something the writers are holding back from us, to keep us guessing and thinking about their secretive approach to telling a story. Although I would have appreciated seeing the Lois and Zod continuation. I understand that's another story which would require a careful approach. I was not happy with the approach to Lois and Clark last week though. The writers are somehow trying to provoke us. Clois fans have been waiting for the 'moment' between Lois and Clark, but I simply want a sense of humor between them again, just like the scenes created in 'Roulette' and something as breathtaking as 'Idol', without the twist in the ending.

This Clois topic is probably for the next episode, but for now the slow motioned fight scenes with Tess and the other with Clark in the white room rescuing Chloe was a 'please tread lightly' plead on my behalf. We know that Clark moves faster than a speeding bullet and simply having a room filled with guys and a detained Chloe at first glance, followed by a room of defeated guys and a missing person on a chair, would not have been as cool without the slo-motion, but it seemed overdone somehow. This is evident when Tess had her early slo-mo scene in the beginning, maybe that's just a personal dislike. Other than those questionable moments, the interaction between Jones and Waller was intriguing. I wasn't even aware of his fear of fire, although it made sense. Waller also seems like trouble and as long as she knows Clark's identity somewhere in her psyche, Lois would also find herself in some deep waters.

Oh and was the shade truly keeping Waller from seeing Clark, must have been really dark? Clark should pay an even closer eye on Lois, since he's so naive against threats against his personal life, especially since he's freely revealing his identity. Did Jones truly erase Waller's memory? What about the security tapes and the other agents, is Clark's identity truly secure?

Private Practice: Season 3 Episode 19 'Eyes Wide Open' Review

'Eyes Wide Open', what do you see, Cooper reveals why he and Charlotte did not agree. Okay that sums up the big question that's been dangling over Cooper and Charlotte as to why exactly did they break up, before the fighting and constant quarreling. It's had to imagine that Cooper lost his 'Mojo' in the midst of all their physicality in the relationship. There was a time where it was only sex between Cooper and Charlotte. So this leaves me wondering, Charlotte's the sexual therapist, it must have been a huge embarrassment on Cooper's part to have Charlotte wave the 'I can solve all your problems in bed' card in his face. That still doesn't excuse his pathetic actions of insecurity in himself around her.

That aside, Violet's back! Is she ready for a relationship? Where was she all this time that gave her this sudden epiphany? So this episode leaves us with a cliffhanger. Doesn't Addison know, you just don't enter a serious relationship with someone with unresolved feelings and loose ends. It's funny when you think about it, who would have predicted that Pete would be a father and in a serious relationship two years down the road. Violet was the one to get Pete out of his depressed state with regards to his wife and now they have a history that cannot truly be ignored. I believe Addison would further be jealous of Violet's connection with Pete through Lucas, especially since she probably decided to move on from her fears.

Since Sam and his girlfriend went their separate ways, I wonder if the writers would use that as an opportunity for Addison and Sam to get together? It is an interesting thought that they chose the very same moment to bring Violet in the picture. Things are just too complicated between Addison and Sam when Naomi comes to mind and I wonder if they would ever cross that line. Naomi seems to be occupied with other means regarding White. It was nice of Fife to wait around for Naomi, not expecting anything more or less from her. I believe that he loves her in the sense of it, since he showed her the most intimate part of his life. There is more to the situation that we are just not seeing.

I understood Fife when he mentioned that Pete should have kept his mouth shut with regards to White, so much that he wouldn't feel obligated to say anything to Naomi. It was blunt of him to confess that he and Naomi had sex, as though that information would stay limited to Pete alone. This was also an hour without Naomi in the picture. The writers are playing a clever game by tossing characters in and out of plots and building suspense. Good job on the other hand. As for the cases, well the old man was a sensitive touch and the others with regard to the premature babies, was rendering, but the outside drama seems to reflect the craziness of each character and their dilemmas with regard to life. Let's see what turn they would spin unto next.

The Mentalist: Season 2 Episode 17 ' The Red Box' Review

Was it by pure coincidence or a pun on the writers' end to have Special Agent Madeleine Hightower reign high authority on everyone, including Jane. I am not certain whether Jane is just allowing Hightower to manipulate him, or if he has finally met his match. Hightower came off friendly in the beginning, but she soon showed Lisbon who was boss. She wasn't even cut off to threaten Jane, instead she read him enough to know that threatening Lisbon instead would give her the results she needed. Jane's abilities are more useful than Lisbon's leadership skills, so Hightower could afford to expend Lisbon's title. I still believe she's bluffing, to an extent. After she plays the Lisbon card, what reason would Jane have to stay? Cho? Rigsby and Van Pelt?

Speaking of them, the on-off couple, who knew they had mended fences. They were well willing to go to bed on a case, they must be truly comfortable with each other in the relationship, except the part where they often have to borrow time from the job and act as if their relationship did not exist. I even believed their relationship had taken a standstill since their last argument. Thumbs up to the writers for keeping the interest levels between Van Pelt and Rigsby. I would love to know how Hightower would deal with their relationship having finding out by just a glimpse of them about ten inches away from each other. In fact I want to know Hightower's background that makes her almost as clever as Jane. Maybe Jane has met his match (this is subject to change).

The murder mystery, did not interest me as much as the external bits surrounding the case. I lost track of who was what to whom, and who did what in the end. Most likely the continued relationships among regular characters are what intrigues me most. I am interested in Cho's girlfriend, we haven't seen her since the episode centered around him. For some funny reason, I am thinking along the lines of Hightower becoming a menacing villain for Jane, relating somewhat to his past, but let's see how that unravels.

Smallville: Season 9, Episode 15 'Escape' Review

If only we can all Escape from all our troubles, leave the misery and constant confusion behind and say hello to a life of 'Happily Ever After'. Sadly this fairytale of a dream, turned into a nightmare for Lois and Clark while vacationing. Who knew that a Bed and Breakfast could get more entertainment with an addition of a tale, bringing new prospects to storytelling and role-play?

Firstly I didn't buy that Clark would take five seconds away from his 'saving the world' trend, just to be with Lois as hard core as that sounds. Clark has been so fixated on saving mankind, that just to pull him away from it would literally be like ripping a band-aid off that was merged with your skin. Completely terrifying! He would ever believe that duty could take a vacation.

So I gather this was one for the fans. We want to see Lois and Clark getaway and we want to have their relationship solidified. One question though, did Clark truly believe Lois' desire was to go to a Bed and Breakfast, even if he saw the pamphlet saying so, couldn't he have looked at it and said "Lois wants to go to a bed and breakfast?". At some point when he figured out it was Chloe's pamphlet and not Lois', "I knew a bed and breakfast was not like you" should be uttered from Clark, just to add a little comedy to the tense moment created when Chloe and Oliver's unofficial love affair came to the forefront.

I don't fully understand Chloe's need to remain unattached from the relationship title. I believe Jimmy has a lot to do with that. Chloe probably believes that if she lets anyone close enough they would get hurt, as I am sure she blames herself for Jimmy's death.

It was fun seeing jealous Lois leaving the naked Chloe and Clark in the bathroom. I hoped from the promotions that that bathroom scene was meant for Lois and Clark, but of course, the placing of each clip at such a fast pace was meant to deceive us. We were able to get a full portion of Lois and Clark moments. We had the bed scene where I kept wondering about Clark's libido with regards to the bed as Chloe pointed out. Here we have Clark encouraging 'sex'ual tension, but the issue with his past (person I would refrain from mentioning), he had issues in that department. Then we have Clark's father teaching him how to control 'it' (those lessons turned out to be beneficial, I wonder how long and what exactly was taught - or do we want to know?). It's good that part of Clark's training involved the lesson on how to 'be with' humans. "Dad I have some problems in that area, could you be of any assistance" (Okay sort of went off track with that one).

As for that big Tess and Zod revelation, it seemed as though Zod was able to control his libido, something that probably comes along with his flight ability. It is actually impressive how Zod referred to Tess as strong, as though she had some powers of her own. What makes their relationship interesting is the secrets. I actually wondered for a moment whether the bed scene was a bit of a trap to encourage Tess to reveal them, but Tess was right 'knowledge is power'. I believe Zod is more attracted to her wit than anything else, and since when does Zod know how to use a cell phone, receive text messages and operate a voice decrypter? Somebody's definitely upping their game.

My only fear is for Lois and the plan Zod has for her, especially when she believes that Zod is the blur. Didn't things add up when Clark was in the room and she was talking to the blur? Anyway, Clark seemed too oblivious to that conversation, especially since he could have easily used his super-hearing to detect a fraud. Obviously Lois began acting suspicious. I hope she lets Clark in unto her conversation with 'the blur', she herself promised to be more open with Clark, but she also admitted that some secrets are best left that way. The tables could spin either way.

That's it for now, I am certainly glad that the wait for Smallville is over. Let's hope that Lois doesn't grab the double date initiative for her, Clark, Chloe and Oliver. I was almost expecting a small jealous bone from Lois with regards to Oliver or even a small kiss when she was possessed. Oh by the way writers, please stop having Lois be taken over by anything other than her craziness. We can actually count the amount of times that Lois became someone else, it's becoming annoying. Everything else was unnecessary in my opinion, why couldn't Lois and Clark have a drama-less vacation getaway, with the only excitement being the tension of bunking up with Chloe and Oliver. I kind of expected more from this one though. Oh, but thumbs up to Lois and her many suitcases.

"How to Train Your Dragon" Movie Review by Lexa

On the trip home from the movies, with the ticket stub in my bag I turned to my partner in the driver's seat as he 'bobbed' his head at the Black Eyed Peas 'Imma Be'. "Babe, that ending was sad". I didn't think about it until I had actually gotten into the car, completely zoning out the music. He turned to me with a sort of confused expression "Girl your gonna be reviewing this one aint yuh". Well, here I am and I still couldn't get that ending out of my head.

"How to train your Dragon" painted a new light from the cliched 'fire-breathing-knight-and-sword-slaying' imagery we are accustomed to. I only pictured the writer saying, "You know we always see dragons being the enemy, well except for Shrek and a few others, but, how about a movie just for them. Let's tell their story". That story was told in an unbelievable manner. I reached to the movies ten minutes late (The cashier took long with the popcorn), but I made it in to see Hiccup being confronted by his father to go to dragon training. In the haste to find a good seat, I still managed to capture the beauty of each character.

From Hiccup's dad and his traditional take on life, to Hiccup's heroism and determination to show 'the dragon's' side of the story, this movie captured fantastic on so many levels. Comedy mixed with adventure and action are any ingredients made to give you the thrill you need. I mainly focused on the plot in the end, when Hiccup had to face what was probably the only mean dragon to live. Hiccup's bond with Toothless was almost like a child's bond with a puppy, but Hiccup had more responsibility than making sure his chow was out on time. Training a dragon felt more like raising one and training yourself to fly beyond heights.

Everyone figured Hiccup for the shrub in the bunch, but every plant had his day and Hiccup's own surfaced the moment he and Toothless became like a family. Toothless knew when Hiccup was in danger and was willing to risk his life to save his best friend. The connection between them moved beyond the screen and I am certain into the audiences heart.

I would refer to the ending, when Hiccup lost his foot in battle, this was the only 'happily ever after' story that wasn't completely happily ever after. So Black Eyed Peas was finished and he turned down the volume "You know, he gained far more than he ever lost". Referring to Hiccup. I guess he was right, and I am certain he would smile when he reads this review, but 'How to Train your Dragon' is definitely one to see, take the whole family if you want to and have fun with everyone on screen, you would enjoy it.
