Burn Notice: Season 3, Episode 11 'Friendly Fire' Review

I cannot believe it, but was that Michael finally 'sealing the deal' between him and Fiona. Wow, what a way to do it :)

I have finally grown accustomed to 'The Client' mode for Burn Notice, it has actually become a part of the series all together. Now thinking about it, that was exactly the way Michael lived his life, always dealing with clients, or even running from them. The writers try to make Michael's Miami life, reflect his old life in a more domestic way of living.

I have a problem though, does no one else found it alarming how easy it was for someone to locate Sam, at Michael's mother's place. It was strange how no red flags went up in Michael's head about his mother's safety while he imposes his threatening lifestyle on her. Room for thought.

Considering, this was my favorite, 'client' related episode for the season. I loved the smooth snap, oddly intriguing and effective for the coolness(a word?) he was aiming for.

Since when did Sam have a wife? I probably missed that episode, anyway I don't care what they say that was uncool hooking up with your buddy's ex! Nice guest star appearances...

Loved it! Loved it! More Fiona and Michael?

24: Season 8, Episode 5 'Day 8: 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM' Review

Bravo acting Wersching, you are truly bringing out the Renee I grew to love. Although I am a bit upset about your damaging past, it surely looks as though it would take you a while to get out of that hole you sunk yourself into.

In a way, Jack is obligated to her, because now he's the white chariot horse and Renee is the dark outcast. I admired the tear that slid along her face when her life hung in the balance. I believed that the actual Renee character didn't want to live, had things not worked, it was more than a ploy on her part.

The sole reason Renee took the task to go undercover again, is to shed some light on her loathing character she probably despises. She somehow wants to redeem herself. She keeps stressing she's the only person, because she wants to be, she couldn't cope otherwise.

Honestly had Ziya kept his mouth shut, he would still be alive, at least for a longer time. He annoyed Vladimir to the point where the trigger was too much of a burden to resist.

I believe that it is Renee that is making these hours interesting for me. It probably has something to do with my fondness for Amy Wersching and her portrayal of Renee. What I don't get is why Jack kept shouting at her, did he really believe that she was gunning for a bullet? Was she that convincing that she even deceived Jack? I figure that Jack sees Renee as a risk to her own health and it confirms my speculations about Renee really wanting Vladimir to pull the trigger, because she had nothing else to live for.

At CTU, the Dana Walsh character is developing beautifully. Her ex is foolish enough to mess with a government agency as serious as CTU. I believe he is probably putting her through it to punish her, because he believed she sold him out as a 'get out of jail' free card. What I am curious into, is to how exactly he discovered where she worked, because that means anyone else could probably get a hold of CTU the very same way. I feel sorry for her fiancee, why bother to keep the secret at all. It would all unravel by the end of the day or early the next day, anyway.

It is amazing how much could happen in a few hours. So far we have a terrorist attempt, an undercover operation reenacting itself, an ex boyfriend bully and his weird friend, a couple of murders... sounds a whole lot of 24 to me. Could you imagine an old Jack telling the stories about how his life changed in 24 hours. How would that conversation start off?

I look forward to the development between Dana and her ex, and probably having Renee and Jack in the same scene together, they create brilliant moments. Oh and I also want to know what happens to Olivia and some development into the President's personal life. Let's not have too much happen until then.

Dollhouse: Season 2, Episode 13 'Epitaph Two: Return' Review

Really, why did you hold this one out on us, come on! This is the quality I wanted, probably for the past two seasons. Arggh, this was actually a cool idea for a series and they blew it! I want to have more episodes of this series, I don't know what the previous episodes were about, but this one was clear about the exact quality in producing, action and the acting by Eliza Dushku was unbelievable! This is the Dollhouse we want. Why did you wait until now to give us this one, why!

As you probably gathered from the ranting above, I was a bit disappointed by this one, and not in the 'this episode sucked' way, but in the 'this episode flew through the hills and now the series is being canceled' kind of way. Whedon should have started from scratch for Season two, he should have used the same style of this episode and portray possible flashbacks, anything better than what he gave us.

This was his plan all along, I knew it, he wanted us to give poor reviews and poor comments and he wanted us to criticize until we begged for a cancellation, his end game would be to shove it to us "You see, this is what you are going to be missing out on, I had good ideas", but that really sucks Whedon, that was a low blow.

It would be generous if someone could pick up the same style and change the overall name of the series. I mean really, I always admired the original idea of this series and I expected so much out of it. Instead of focusing on sending actives on engagements, or even during, they should have focused on developing characters like Boyd and the organization he worked for. Look at how beautifully Dushku pulled off that 'grief ridden' scene, the actors and actresses needed more room to bring out their true talents. My only regret on their part is that the chance is probably gone now, when we could have gotten so much more out of it.

Terrible, truly terrible.

Smallville: Season 9, Episode 10 'Disciple' Review

Finally the wait is over, Smallville is back! I think I was a bit overexcited for 'Disciple' and I tried my best to be subtle, because sometimes when I get excited for a series' return, my expectations go through the roof and I end up feeling disappointed at the end of the show... which I am glad wasn't the case here.

I did expect a big comeback for Lois and Clark, seeing that they finally admitted to themselves how they felt for each other. Sometimes writers have the tendency to lose all inspiration and creativity when they place characters together, which I feared for the most in the opening scene. I only hoped they weren't going to get Clois too comfortable with each other and have the chemistry between them just disappear.

I actually don't know how to feel about this episode. There weren't enough Clois moments for me, at least not like the ones cooked up in previous episodes. I am fearful of Lois becoming a bit too mellow; like the scene where Clark was obviously being the poor boyfriend, like forgetting to pick Lois up from the hospital and visiting her once in total, that we know of. Even though we knew why Clark was absent, in Lois' position, I would have smacked him over the head, at least I am certain the old Lois would have blown a fuse.

I gathered that Lois sees Clark in a different light and she probably would forgive him for the lowest of blows... but it still makes me miss the witty animosity between them.

I don't know what to make of Lois and Oliver either. I believe that Oliver feels lonely and the closest friend he ever had and also an ex lover, was Lois. I believe his feelings were genuine for her and the fact that Lois was officially moving into a new relationship said that they were actually over. I don't know why Lois touched Clark's shoulder right after her eye glance with Oliver, I doubt she was trying to make him jealous, but she was trying to show him that she had moved on and probably he should too.

The story aside from the Lois-Oliver-Clark charade was interesting as well. This episode took the time to develop Oliver and his past, leading to how he became the person he is now. It's a shame we don't see more of green arrow helping civilization like Clark does, the show only gives credit to Clark and his destiny to achieve something, but I believe Oliver deserves some credit, especially since her decided to go back to hero mode.

I actually expected Chloe to coach Clark about Major Zod and watching out for Lois. Didn't it upset Clark when Zod showed up at his home, unannounced? Does he truly believe Zod's intentions are become the Kandorian's savior and leave it at that? 'Our People' Please! An entire colony is on the verge of extinction and they would do anything to survive, having no powers equates the Kandorians in the same line as humans, and they rebuke that notion. Was it just me, or did you sense a romantic connection between Zod and Fiona at the end, or at least the writers are gunning for an interest there?

I actually found it creepy while Zod visited Lois in the hospital, like it was some sort of threat to her life. Clark needed to be more careful, the moment he let Zod in on his Krptonian lifestyle, the same moment the people he cared for became a target. Did Clark learn nothing from the future? Lois herself was a bit naive, and even though she sensed Zod was a bit fishy, she still wore the token he gave her. I wonder if Lois ever heard anyone mention a Zod, Tess could have given her a heads up? (...who was oddly absent here). That scene felt a bit shaky for me.

I believe that Lois would begin asking Clark more questions about his disappearing acts. I honestly hoped Clark was actually asking Lois to go for a walk and nothing between the lines, because Lois acted like a walk was going to transform their relationship forever. Lois shouldn't think so hard on her past relationships, the point is that she's in a new one and different things are bound to happen for her. She is definitely not the same person she was three or even four seasons ago.
Clark has also worn confidence with pride lately and is surely revealing his levels of maturity.

I honestly hope Chloe and Clark have a real talk on the person Chloe is becoming, almost a replica of her future self. I am surprised Lois hasn't stumbled on Chloe and her glamorous technology collection, doesn't she ever wonder what her cousin does shacked up in 'Watch Tower' all day, or even how she earns an income?

Anyway enough of this, I am just really happy to have Smallville back again. I have to admit, I took a little peek as to what too expect next week, and believe me, I am loving it.

Castle: Season 2, Episode 14 'The Third Man' Review

The Third Man and The Double Date. Really what was Beckett thinking"? I imagined she was trying to find some way to make Castle jealous, because what other reason she would possibly feel like getting a date, the same time Castle got his. It's sad when you think about it, the bachelor title removal because of his 'implied' involvement with Beckett, had to get him riled up. There was no way he and Beckett could have a thing, the only reason he called Beckett's name over and over during the interview was because of their working relationship... right.

This case was just an added bonus, the real enjoyment for me was Castle and Beckett's growing fondness for each other. I also appreciated Castle's attempt to hide the article from Beckett, very insightful.

Even thought the writers gives Alexis small scenes to work with, she pulls it off effectively. That just goes to show how strongly tied his relationship with his daughter is, the only other woman he would give his life for (the other woman is left up to you too decide).

You just keep it up Castle, one day you would tell Alexis to 'be home by 1' and she would respond 'okay'. What would you do then Castle?

Life Unexpected: Season 1, Episode 2 'Home Inspected' Review

Since when does Lux jump from being a fifteen year old girl, to acting like a grown eighteen year old adult. I had a hunch, so I checked out Brittany Robertson's (Lux) profile and it turned out she was well about nineteen. It only showed up her true age here. That's beside the fact... she acted like she was a responsible adult; a boyfriend, a place of your own, that comes with a lot of responsibility to manage.

I don't think Lux had reuniting with her family as an option in the beginning. It actually showed when she intimidated her father into signing her emancipation papers (strange enough the only other time this term was mentioned onscreen- for me- was with Gossip Girl and Jenny), I remembered having a smile during that scene in the pilot.

They didn't really establish a good connection between Lux and her boyfriend either, so I wonder how that would progress. It seemed like they had a set plan and as soon as it worked out better for Lux, she bailed on the 'apartment' idea. Who blames her, it was a dream-like scenario. Why work hard to maintain an apartment, when you could live somewhere for free and have somebody pay for you.

I don't think Lux would take parenting easy though, she has taken care of herself for so long, she might not be too keen on accepting advice. I am certain we haven't heard the last from her boyfriend, since they didn't officially call it off, so I am estimating that Cate would find some issue with Lux having a boyfriend at fifteen and worry about the same circumstances any mother would have at that point.

So far I am not in like with Cate's fiancee. At first he came off as clever and witty, but finding out your fiancee had a child before, isn't really what many hope to expect in any relationship. I believe he would find some problem with her ex, because he and Cate argue a lot, which only means she has some unresolved issues to deal with him, not to mention she carried his child a few years back.

I still don't understand how Cate could address her fiancee without telling him she slept with her ex, because once he finds out, things would get rocky. This is a good one, two consecutive episodes of great, but if it plans to be a hit, or to not come of as cliched or something we saw already, it has to explore Cate's relationship with Lux on a deeper level.

Private Practice: Season 3 Episode 12 'Best Laid Plans' Review

'Best Laid Plans'; reflected the uncertainty with outcomes, when the best of plans are made. The most moving plot in this episode for me, was probably Maya's conflicting thoughts about abortion and keeping a child. Unfortunately she did not have the necessary guidance to make the experience easier for her, but according to Addison; Maya did an adult action and she is now forced to deal with an adult decision. No teenager should be forced to make a decision like that.

I believe that this was the most moving episode for Naomi and her turn to shine. In the line of highly qualified actresses, Audra McDonald took her slice of the cake this round. Shonda Rhimes made a tough decision implementing 'The Abortion' themed up with the 'Teenage Pregnancy' storyline, because it has been executed many times before on television. At the risk of coming of cliche and redundant, Rhimes pulled it off beautifully. I know her cast is what brought the script to life, but they all work well together as a team.

I applaud Addison for taking the risk of swaying Maya's final decision, because at that very point, she was taking a stance against Naomi. Maya's life is changed forever and it was nice to include the fact that the father of the child loved Maya and it wasn't just a 'fling' or so. Addison managed to show a level of maturity, that hasn't been most prevalent recently. Unlike Naomi who was not as mature with her decision and was more for action, without paying attention to the consequences. It only became clear that Maya based her decision to terminate the pregnancy, purely because of her mother's resentment.

It was actually deplorable watching the way in which Naomi dealt with the entire situation, like she was disappointed and somehow despised her daughter.
Naomi's parenting methods were so strict, that Maya only felt the need to go to her mother only when her life was going to change forever and not before the fact. Sam was the only one willing to be rational about everything. Naomi cannot run forever, so I am excited to have that situation unravel. Naomi obviously loves Maya, but feels betrayed as well, she also sees herself as a failed mother.

If I were to touch on a few other moments within this episode, it would have to be the dilemma Pete faced when dealing with Dr. Fife and the revolutionary guy with the bionic arm. Fife comes off as a huge ass. I have been trying to figure him out for weeks now, especially with what makes him tick and there is a question mark at that point. I was in awe of the moment he shared with Naomi, his attraction to her became obvious then, but I really cannot stand his attitude.

Speaking of bad attitudes, Cooper has officially lost it in my book. (To the Writers) I really need you to explain his paranoid character lapses, because Cooper has done a complete 180 on the sanity level. I don't believe he ever loved Charlotte, if he could treat her so horribly now. Charlotte herself was foolish to sell her apartment, she is not usually the type to completely trust in one thing and I believe that this is not the same Charlotte we met in Season one. That Charlotte would have reprimanded him a long time ago; according to Violet, his actions would only leave him alone.

Now that Violet has taken Charlotte in, I wonder if Cooper would have problems with that (who cares!). He had the gall to ask her to leave 'The Practice', he might work up the extra nerve and tell Charlotte to take a hike from his friends, especially since he and Violet have not been as close lately. I want to applaud Violet for finally accepting the absence from her son's life, even if it was to a complete stranger. I mean who was she kidding, it had to be done, she as a psychiatrist should know that her distance from her role of being a mother would cause more harm than good.

This was actually an exceptionally brilliant episode, I really enjoy how all the story-lines mesh together so well. It doesn't seem like there was much continuation from the Mark and Addison theme. Maybe all that would be taken care of in Grey's Anatomy, but still his daughter's condition with her baby was not officially dealt with. This may be out of the blur, but whatever happened to Noah? I don't want Addison to have anymore drama in her life, but that was another unresolved issue. Noah is presently residing in Cougar Town with Courtney Cox, so I wonder if that had any impact on his absence this season - probably.

Anyway, it was good to have Melissa McCarthy guest star as the pregnant Lynn McDonald. She gave Maya the incentive she needed to make her final decision about her pregnancy. I sympathize with Maya though, it's not going to be an easy road, especially with a mother like Naomi. Not to mention her school life filled with complications and loss of essential classes. Boy did Sam make the mistake of confronting the father in public, her entire school would find know because of the quick texter that over heard the newsworthy gossip. What a way to deliver a punchline.

The Mentalist: Season 2 Episode 12 'Bleeding Heart' Review

I figured it out, I just thought who would be the most unlikely suspect and the reporter had the most advantage over the case, but I figured it out! Okay so maybe there were others that aced the detective case solver (or whatever you call it), but sometimes I am left guessing, having two possible suspects. It's always cool when you favorite shows leave you thinking all the time.

I was just happy to have Jane confess his true feelings without any smart come on. The moment the camera's were all over his face and he became on edge, I thought of the last time he was on camera and the impact it left on his family life. This was a good episode for revealing things. Especially for Van Pelt and Rigsby, but did they really have to say they were 'lovers', how about 'in a relationship' the rest could have easily been implied.

What I admire most about The Mentalist is their consistency with good quality episodes. Every episode is clever, and details a reasonable twist, that certainly has something to do with their cast, because I am really impressed. I also appreciate the emotional connections within the series; it is not just a crime drama, but it has substance. We get detailed references about each character and every individual is complicated in their own way, even 'hard core' Teresa.

I doubt she would do anything much about Van Pelt and Rigsby's relationship now, maybe it could hamper her decisions when it comes to them teaming up together. It seems as though the writers found no reason to keep their relationship a secret, but now that it's out would it change anything? For now, I think they would be okay. Jane was obviously happy they confessed, especially since his hold on them was over - to an extent.

The 'J' character came off somewhat cheesy and I am usually game for episodes that convey that type of realistic dilemma, maybe it was the actor, anyway I look forward to next week, I have no idea what to expect.

The Office: Season 6 Episode 14 'The Banker' Review

Looking back, some of these old clips on 'The Office', were probably a big refresher. It didn't help that I not too recently watched those very same clips, but it was good to view some of the Season One office people and how some matured, while others became more childish over the seasons. The funny thing is, there was a similar video on 'YouTube' which quoted their Ten Reasons To Watch The Office, so another reason could be that even if you missed a popular clip, you could watch it again on this reminiscent episode of 'The Banker'.

If I were to be realistic, I know of other series that have attempted to reuse old clips and make it into a new episode. On those occasions I wasn't intrigued by their approach, The Office bears no exception. I wonder why Toby still works there; he has no hope with Pam and Michael despises his guts, so why bother? There was literally a tiredness and exhausted look on his face, while he was being questioned, I was really tired watching him as well.

Dwight claims he doesn't waste company time and envisions himself as a committed employee, but the things he does for Michael sometimes shows of his 'Five Year Old' complex. Did anyone else notice Ryan's glasses and his strange urge to carry of 'The UrKel' look? Is he trying to look more like Dwight or become his sidekick?

There was not much advancement with this episode, which was quite disappointing. I don't know if the producers were trying to be cost efficient, or what made this nostalgic episode come about. Maybe they believed the fans would appreciate being reminded of what we love about 'The Office' or probably after the long break they wanted to play 'catch-up' Who knows? I just didn't like it that much.

The scene where Kelly slaps Michael on 'Diversity Day', that Kelly is gone and I remembered how much I laughed that episode. It's amazing, after the moment is gone, you can't really have the exact same laugh, probably an appreciation. Anyway, I was really fed up at the end of it all. At least everything wasn't made up of clips and they tried to bring in a little act in between. The best part would have been the 'Jim and Pam' Niagra Falls wedding, for me anyway.

Castle: Season 2 Episode 13 'Sucker Punch' Review

Finally, Beckett is open to finding the culprit behind her mother's killer. So here we are thinking it's just going to be another case solver, with Beckett and Castle joking around, having fun, then there is the 'wake up call' of Beckett's Mother's unsolved case. What are we going to do now? This plot was well executed. There were parts of the episode I lost track of; like how Beckett's mother died and the entire situation circling her mother, since the writers took so long to finally tackle it, but I got back on track soon enough.

I did not expect Beckett's mom to be brought up anytime soon, which the writers were probably gunning for; that need for suspense and curiosity. The guy behind the murder was a dead end, literally. He actually didn't seem as much of a threat, probably until he pulled Castle into a corner, forcing Beckett to choose and the dilemma would have you on the tip of your toes. I mean I didn't even care about the case before hand - did they even solve it?

I admire Castle's connection with Beckett, it probably killed Beckett more seeing the man die with the information of her mother's premeditated murderer. Who would really go through the trouble to hire someone to kill Beckett's mother? Why would the hit-man show up now, do the writers have something planned for the viewers? I'm interested, if that's what they were trying to accomplish. Back on the topic of Castle and Beckett, I was wondering how Beckett would deal with Castle and I am glad she didn't send him away, or blow a fuse. She handled everything with a level of responsibility, which makes me realize that she may even love Castle a little.

I really believed that Castle was going to resign, so I'm glad she convinced him to stay by telling him he was fun, and it is fun watching them together. It has been weeks now, but the opening theme for the show is very unique and I think I'm beginning to learn it word for word. My favorite part would be Beckett "You do remind me a little of Hooch". The both of them have such great onscreen chemistry and I wouldn't mind seeing them through for another two seasons and more...

'Sucker Punch' well Beckett did get hit hard in the gut, when she couldn't fully salvage the truth behind her mother's killers. Let's just hope Beckett finds what she is looking for.

Human Target 'Pilot' Review

What is really going on here? Is this guy, Christopher Chance supposed to be 'bad ass' or something? Is he supposed to come off as a spy-agent-James Bond type, because I am really confused here. I recognized the guest appearance from Burn Notice; the woman he saved in the train... yeah so I thought things were going to get interesting, but this show felt like it had been done before. It felt as though I was watching a mixture of all the undercover spy shows, combined with 'Eyes', it probably even reminded me of Burn Notice (which was far better).

There were points after I got the message - He was 'bad ass' and was going to save his damsel in distress - but things got cheesy fast for a pilot episode, it was not as engaging and unique as it needed to be. So I was a little bit disappointed. The promotions actually gave this one a bit too much credit, that it increased my expectations. I don't want to view just another action packed drama series, dealing with a guy who has a past, a weird assistant who's supposed to be intimidating and a boss guy who comes off inferior.I need a little more depth and chemistry, ties that the viewer cannot draw from himself. Drama is good, but don't fill it up with just drama and no substance.

Human Target has to aim a lot better if it is to gain any interest, because let's face it - the gun action scenes, running from the bad guy and the husband killer that wants his wife's money, well we've heard of this formula already. I want something fresh if I am to commit to this one. Who knows, let's give it four more episodes.

Life Unexpected: 'Pilot' Review

Life Unexpected deals with the very same issues we face, in our everyday lives; teenage pregnancy, single parenthood, adoption or abortion and basically anything that goes with your life being cut short and leaving you with the responsibility of raising a child out of high-school, or choosing to part ways with your child so you could have a life.

Here Cate was faced with the latter; she was forced to choose as a teenager to adopt her child and live her life with the expectation that she would be well taken care of. What Cate did not anticipate was her daughter's heart condition and being forced herself to grow up, because her foster parents couldn't give a crap about her.

Cate herself is still growing up, she hasn't decided where she's going with her life. She is moving in with her boyfriend, but really didn't intend on settling down and getting married. She even lost touch with her ex from high-school and still hadn't worked up the nerve to tell him he was a father and face what she did. In fact, Cate couldn't even handle facing her daughter after so many years, I don't blame her. When you're sixteen, your mindset is in a completely different area. Instead of worrying about the household and trying to earn a living, at sixteen you're still into clubbing with the guys and finding a dress for prom. I really don't believe that Cate has fully grasped what being a grown up, with responsibility is. Cate is the co-host of a successful radio feed, which her daughter (Lux) listens to with a passion, but I sensed an inner child that was suppressed (or something like that).

Lux herself leaves a few question marks; she wants to emancipate herself, but doesn't want to get to know her real parents? Lux knows the name of her father and not her mother? That doesn't hamper the unique appeal this series delivers for the pilot. It is engaging and would leave you wanting to know more about their lives. I still don't understand how Cate could sleep with her ex one night and claim to be in-love with her fiancee the next, so I know I would have some problems with that triangular relationship.

It would also be good to follow through Lux's lifestyle and learn what challenges she faced in foster care. I am certain there were moments when Cate saw her daughter and she was filled with regret. In my opinion, being a mother doesn't leave you. Even if you gave that child away, you would still feel the absence of parenthood. In the guy perspective, Bazile handled being a father the moment he found out well, but I believed he was too quick to sign the papers his daughter gave him. He hardly even read what he was signing into, he could have been signing away his life there. It also was curious how certain he was about who her mother was, he didn't even give it a second thought.

This series shows great potential. It is good to watch Shiri Appleby, back in her game. I mean it is the first time I have officially noticed her since 'Roswell'. Let's hope my expectations for this series keep climbing as the weeks go by and it meets a new season.

24: Season 8, Episode 4 'Day 8: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM' Review

Cheers to Jack for nabbing the bad guy in the gut; but must all agents shoot to kill, why not shoot to disable and squeeze information, then kill... or arrest as the case may be. It all wasn't meant to be. CTU agent Cole Ortiz, Freddie Prinze Jr's character, shows a great level of loyalty to his country. He was even willing to risk his life to ensure the captivity of a suspected terrorist. It was obvious his relief when Jack fired before and his life was spared.

Finally Renee is here and more bad-ass than expected. She obviously darkened her her to reflect how morbid her character became. I didn't know she and Jack could create such chemistry between each other, it was almost sensational the way he gripped her palm, revealing her previously slit wrists. There was obviously a lot Renee wished to remain hidden from Jack and the rest of the world. It's almost sad when you think about it, Jack was the sole reason she went rogue.

I actually take delight in the approach 24 used to relay their 'One Day' story. Jack has tried to reach out to Renee, which means that he cared about her more than we were exposed to before. I wonder if 'one day' would have any impact, or change in Renee's deceitful nature? It seems as though she went to a tough pace and is still recovering. I was always interested in her relationship with Larry last season, because it wasn't addressed then. I would have appreciated some kind of closure from her uncertain past and whatever happened to Chloe's last season look-a-like?

Anyway, Renee truly showed off her bad side. I am actually curios into how bad she could actually get and how she relates to Jack after portraying herself as a monster. As for Sackhoff's character Dana Walsh, I am curious into her dealings with her apparent ex boyfriend. What exactly would she do when she gets over by her place, especially since she is engaged to be married, that doesn't leave her with much options.

I have a feeling that we haven't heard the last from the journalist accused of being President Hassan's assassin. Her story doesn't sound too complete yet, but that just a hunch.

24: Season 8, Episode 3 'Day 8: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM' Review

Accept my sympathies Maggie and Jim, for I already knew your faith. I was actually surprised that Jim didn't try to get the upper hand and smack the gun from his friend... that stabbed him in the back. What will happen to their son? He would certainly have to permanently stay with his grandmother, hopefully with the true motives for his parents' death concealed. This double homicide did not go unpunished; avenged by Jack non the less, the same man believed to be their killers.

It's a funny thing, Jack being labeled a 'cop killer', possibly more ironic. This was a new side for the 'Cops stickin' up for their men' to be explored. Every time that cop punched Jack, I wanted to punch him back. Of course over time it felt as though the writers scripted that scene to delay Jack from gaining on the terrorist.
I just didn't get why the cop would turn on his partner and help Jack. Even if he was new at everything, he wasn't going to be popular when he showed his face back at the station. I guess none of that matters now.

As for Jack saving President Hassan's life through Agent Ortiz, the hype was unbelievable. I was anxious in anticipation for the next hour, because this one went by too quickly. Is Ortiz alive! More so is President Hassan alive! Of course they would be. Well, I was not too sure or Ortiz, but that President could not die so early in the game. Right then I wanted to stick it to Hastings because he not only owed Jack an apology, but Chloe a huge bonus. What if he detained Jack as he intended; his feet would have been roasting and he would have to develop a knack for job hunting.
At this point I kept wondering "When are we going to see Renee?".

24: Season 8, Episode 2 'Day 8: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM' Review

Jack: "I hate this place"

Most of us probably share Jack's resentment to the new and improved CTU. Hastings comes off as an incompetent leader, unwilling to follow through both sides of the coin. More than ever, I just want Jack to go home with his family.
I mean does everyone really have to rely on Jack for everything, the guy is retired people! Then again, can anyone really retire from being a CTU agent, especially with Jack's background and experience. All I can say is that I really feel sorry for Jack. Here he is five to six years later and it's like the world rests on his shoulders... again. I really hope he doesn't get arrested this time, especially since not too long ago, he was still recovering from the bio-weapon infection. How successful was his treatment? It obviously gave him a few more years, but are we going to hear more about his condition?

I really cannot understand how Hastings could be so naive. As the new replacement for the CTU director, he seems to be an amateur. What experience does he really have, except for talking on the phone all to time to people we don't even know of. He acts like a show off and a bit of a smart ass mixed in the middle. Shutting down Chloe's suspicion of the real terrorist was very foolish of him.

I am growing to admire Dalia Hassan (President Omar's wife). At one point I figured that she was sticking by her husband for 'the image', but she truly cares for him. President Omar Hassan seems to be a very open man when it comes to his heart, he's honorable, sincere and probably too trustworthy, especially when he has his family to take care of. Even if the journalist was not a threat, he did make the mistake of bringing her into his family life. Still, who was she talking to on her phone that made her come off as a terrorist; her editor? She made her meeting with Hassan sound like a business deal as opposed to a love affair.

On the topic of Hastings, he was a bit harsh towards Chloe. He should have listened to Chloe's lead, she may come off as a bit wayward, but she does hold a good point; everything seemed to easy. Actually Hastings doesn't really think well under pressure, I don't think he's up for the job at all.

As for Dana Walsh's character, I am a bit interested into who Jenny Scott was, her relationship with Kevin Wade and what exactly happened in Rock Springs. I am certain that these ties, may be significant to whatever terrorist plans are instigated throughout the day. Why else would the writers go out of their way to evoke such curiosity within viewers.

I recognized Ruth (The only other person who knows Dana's real identity) from Joan of Arcadia. I wonder what is Ruth's connection to Dana; sister perhaps? Close friend, relative? I am going with sister for now, I am certain we would see more of her and her son. From where we stand, it appears as though Dana took a step up, compared to the life she used to live. Dana comes off as showing strength, but is weakened by her past actions.

Maggie and Jim are a really nice couple, but boy did he have the wrong partner as a cop. I highly doubt they would leave their homes with their lives, unless Jack came before hand to save their lives.

24: Season 8, Episode 1 'Day 8: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM' Review

Arlo Glass: Who is Jack Bauer?

Typical 'Newbie' statement. Somebody obviously didn't pay attention in the 'Heroes of CTU' class.

This is the 2010 version of 24, where everyone walks about talking to themselves and tapping on their ears. Things are really going to get crazy this day. On a real note this double-double fiesta of 24 would leave anyone seeing double at the end of it. By the way this livened up my weakened. As soon as I saw 24 on my schedule, I literally started counting down the days. Kind of what I'm doing now for Smallville, but anyway...

Day 8 for 24 was definitely not what I expected. The writers pitched for Jack to successfully skip his sick period, to him well and healthy playing with his grown granddaughter. She was right though, Jack does not look like a grandfather (I just adore that girl, beautiful actress). I actually was waiting for Renee to make her entrance, but learnt she was only going to arrive later that day.

I expected 24 to develop the same old material, with the run around of Kim getting kidnapped to Jack under serious threat, to him running after some well known assassin or vice versa, then something else to have the storyline dragging. It's only the beginning, but I liked how they opened the day in the evening-somewhat, having Jack playing with his granddaughter and to have 'a contact' come to him, that part was well scripted, especially incorporating the approximate six year gap. I actually expected the writers to have a sick Jack still in the hospital, but I really didn't like watching Kiefer Sutherland suffer as an actor to always have Jack fidget or fluster himself, as he did last season- that was really torture.

I like the new storyline with the Presidents Peace Piece. President Omar Hassan holds his own well and his brother looked like a plausible suspect to overthrow him (I guess that was revealed later on), but I admire the new cast. Especially Freddie Prinze Jr and Katee Sackhoff; I am loving the new (I don't know exactly what I'm doing now, but I would catch up ) Chloe.

I figure that they are spoiling us with these four episodes, because I really became upset when it was Tuesday and the double dose wasn't airing again, I mean Renee was really... oh that's for the fourth episode :)

The Mentalist: Season 2 Episode 11 'Rose-Colored Glasses' Review

I knew it! I knew that Jane figured out the change in Rigsby and Van Pelt's relationship! He was just waiting for the right moment to use it to his advantage. Although I still thought he could have held out a little longer, but knowing Jane, the temptation was just killing him, he had to blurt it out.

As for Rigsby, denying it only admitted his guilt. Instead of "I don't know what you are talking about" he should have said "Me and Van Pelt, I wish, but you know that's against the rules Jane". Anything other than how well he handled the 'black mail' moment. Shame on you Jane, the amount of things Rigsby did to either keep your butt out of jail, or even for you to keep your job, and this is how you repay him! I suppose I expected nothing less. He did keep his secret in the end, and I doubt he would have really told unless provoked.

Did I sense a disconnection between Rigby and Van Pelt. Being ordered to sit down behind a computer screen, doing nothing but moving your finger tips, felt like a demotion for Rigsby. It was obvious the awkward eye glances suggested his dislike of his position, while Van Pelt got to do all the work, barely giving him any juicy details worth enlightening his then bored state. What did you think Van Pelt sat around doing Rigsby?

I really couldn't be bothered with the case for this week, although it was a brilliant change for topic and surprising revelation, the only part I enjoyed was the dance between Lisbon and Jane. "More than words is all you have to do to make it real, then you wouldn't have to say that you love me, cos I'd already know..." Surprisingly that was Lisbon's favorite song, which meant that there is a softer side to her. I am certain Jane requested that music the very same moment, to mellow the mood between them. After all he just lied to her about Rigsby and the day off (pshh). That secret only meant he would forever have something to hold over Rigsby and Van Pelt's head, and he would collect once the opportunity came along.

Although there isn't any advancement in 'Red John' and everything surrounding the case, 'The Mentalist' has a lot of excitement built within it and I love analyzing the way Jane thinks. He analyzes everyone but himself. Wouldn't it be cool if there was a 'smart ass' out there just like him, like a round off match to see who's wittier.

At one point I noticed Rigsby's English accent slipping and a little Welsh got into the mix. I don't know if it was obvious or not, but Owain Yeoman was rather delicious in that suit, anyone could have eaten him up.

Private Practice: Season 3 Episode 11 'Another Second Chance' Review

Is Cooper for real. Does he really resent Charlotte because he feels emasculated?

Why do I despise Cooper so much? Is it because he talks to Charlotte as though she were a play toy, or an animal he could boss around? Or is it because Charlotte hasn't smacked him over the head for half the hurtful words he uttered to her? Where did all this hatred come from Cooper? Is it Charlotte you are really upset with, because she omitted some personal facts about her life? Hello you two are still getting to know each other, stop bickering like a married couple, unhappy after Fifty Years of Marriage. Cooper grow a pair and fess up, you don't talk to Charlotte that way!

Phew. That needed to be said aloud, because I feel like the only one who despises Cooper for his arrogance, and his selfishness. Cooper essentially has real problems and I believe these issues stem from Charlotte paying Addison for the Practice on his behalf, and acting like a grown up. The whole marriage issue and lying was a cover up for his true feelings of guilt; that he couldn't pay up. Charlotte is not the reason for his resenting himself, he just feels better taking it out on her. I hoped Charlotte walked out for good.

If it wasn't obvious already, the Cooper and Charlotte arguing through a glass window, was probably the most moving scene for me. I could not believe two people could argue with such bitterness. I only waited for the moment for Charlotte to knock some sense into Cooper with her bare hands, but the moment did not arrive *sadly*.

The second, probably not so much moving scene would be Addison and Mark, on the floor... naked. I usually enjoy crossovers, but somehow it didn't really feel like one, kind of like the time Bailey guest starred. The Cast of Grey's wasn't really on-board so Mark's appearance was just that. On the nakedness topic; there are some that are still in love with Mark and Addison (Maddison), but they really didn't bring it. They made Mark look like a real Grandpa (I mean Mark has really shown age since the last time we saw him in Grey's and Addison looks the same?). Anyway, the sex scene was unexpected and the development into it was to much at once.

I don't really know what's going on in the Grey's Anatomy department, but since when does Mark has a child and whose the baby mama? I know that Mark was seeing Lexie Grey, so I suppose that's what Addison meant about they 'Grey Girl', because it could be Meredith. Maybe I need to be updated, but the only time I understand where 'Grey's is at' is through these crossovers. Cool girl Sloan, I recognize her from TSCC as Riley. (Yeah TSCC, please return).

I felt this episode was mellow, on a softer side. I enjoyed Betsy and Maya's bond and I kind of knew Maya was going to pull the pregnant card soon. I still remember the episode where Maya was totally against the typical teen experimenting stage, and now she's going to experience the faster way to growing up as a 'teen mother'. (That's supposing the kit is accurate). I wonder who the father would be? That guy she was lip-locking with on her floor. Where did the old Maya disappear to. I guess this storyline was placed as a way to give Maya some more screen time.

The writers have taken a short break on developing the story between Violet and her son, but I would really love to know how they would spin that storyline. Pete and Violet didn't have screen time together, probably a ploy to keep the topic from being front view. I do admire how Pete wears fatherhood, he truly loves his son. Oh and no Sheldon (Yaah)!

I mean I love Private Practice, they needed this episode to resolve the tension between Charlotte and Cooper, also with Cooper and himself. I figure that Copper needs someone to tell him off, he is allowed to get away with so many things, it's a shame. I was happy they didn't pursue the Mark and Addison thing, they really didn't do them justice, their second chance wasn't worth the chance. I wonder if Mark would be able to father his grandchild, or would it be continued over at Grey's? As for other episodes I look forward to viewing more of Violet and Pete, less of Cooper, until things cool down and whether or not Addison tells Naomi the truth about Maya (why tell your mother's best friend girl).

Was Sam being the fatherly-brotherly type for Addison or the romantic-jealous type. I'm hoping it's the first.

Castle: Season 2 Episode 12 'A Rose for Everafter' Review

It's been a while since the Finale of 'Charmed' and Alyssa Milano's presence in Castle was a huge refresher. So we honestly get to meet Castle's first true love, or as he put it '...the one that got away'. How many of us can relate? First there is the 'let's take a break' test of time, then there is the looking back wondering; what if the one that got away didn't leave?

Milano played Kyra, Castle's past love and the bride who stumbled upon her bridesmaid's lifeless body. If that didn't spoil the wedding, surely seeing your old flame after many years of no contact would do the trick. This was actually the first time we saw Castle gaze at a woman, as though she was literally sucking the breath out of him. Besides Beckett of course, he patted his googly eyes towards Kyra with such yearn for 'just one kiss'.

At least Castle hasn't officially admitted his true feelings for Beckett, but Beckett definitely wore jealousy with such fashion. I liked how she dealt with it; her sensitivity towards Kyra was modest. Had Kyra been the suspect Beckett expressed, she would have surely contained her in interrogation. What I mostly admire about Castle and Beckett's relationship, is their ability to have such a platonic relationship and still give whim to the actual flirtation. I could tell that Beckett truly cares for Castle and vice versa. I sensed the same jealousy within Castle when Beckett's boyfriend came to town. I forgot what exactly happened to him...

As for the case, I actually began mapping out certain strategies for the culprit behind the murder. At first I imagined that Kyra's fiancee and Sophie had some kind of pact to get some money out of the marriage, but love overcame greed; but I was far off there. Then I came with a theory of the affair and Kyra being the suspect, hence the torn earrings "...and give me my earring back!". The last one came close, but went a little off in the end. The trick I just admire with 'Castle', is the ability for it to have your mind guessing 'who did it' and this time the uncle and the trust-fund was completely unexpected and adequately executed. What kind of Uncle steals your money for a (was it a house in Palm Springs?) , still definitely wasn't going to be my favorite Uncle.

Case solved, but was the connection between Kyra and Castle (ah Rick *sounds strange*) resolved? Krya gave Beckett the go ahead, as I was certain she felt the connection Beckett had for Castle. I didn't know he had it in him, which is why Beckett felt herself feeling more attracted to him; he actually had a serious relationship in his lifetime and could possibly have it with someone else, maybe her if she ever thought about it. The reason behind Beckett's resistance to admit her feelings for Castle is clear, once you cross that line you don't ever go back, especially since she and commitment are such enemies.

I liked this one, at one point it felt as though Lanie got too cozy with examining Sophie's lifeless body. I suppose she's seen a lot of weird things within her job criteria. If I was to analyze the title 'A Rose for Everafter' (something I am thinking of doing regularly); roses come in different sizes and colors, generally signifies love and happiness, but could easily be used at funerals. The title is probably linked to the old romance between Castle and Kyra (well presented), the new love between Krya and her fiancee (what was his name?), the death which probably brought all the facts together and the ability for Kyra to move on from wondering 'what if' with Castle and living a happy life with her husband. It also looked like wedding bells would be an activity Beckett would have to pick up soon. Who knows, could it be Castle? As for Alexis and Martha, they hardly get enough screen time, but I appreciated the little time they had, did Castle figure out how Nikki Heat escapes from the chair?

BONUS

I noticed we have another party on board my blog and I would take this time to appreciate all those who settled (I know the word isn't an easy one), but in this case I am happy that my posts have added a little interest to those that read and comment. Thumbs up to all my party people. Yeah!
